I'm 35 and have two kids. I agree with you, I hive my kids what I didn't have and it's not necessarily a good thing. I guess my fear is for them to not be left behind in society. The emotional intelligence that you speak about I find it for myself recently and I'm trying to give them that too as I learn about it every day 🙂 But yes, I definitely understand what you are saying.
